What this tool does

The Inscriber builds the commit + reveal scheme required for any Ordinals inscription. The inscription is always placed at offset 0 (marketplace-safe).

When to use it

  • Inscribe text, an image, JSON.
  • Create a delegate inscription pointing to another content.
  • Send a BRC-20 transfer (deep-link from the Dashboard).
  • Reinscribe an existing UTXO.
  • Target a specific rare sat (combined with the Rescuer / Splitter).

Prerequisites

  • Wallet + Discord + Ordiscan.
  • Enough payment balance for commit + reveal + fees.

Step-by-step

  1. Pick the content mode: text, file (≤ 380 KiB), delegate.
  2. Advanced options: parent inscription, sat target, metadata, OP_RETURN, Brotli, burn.
  3. The tool estimates the total cost (commit + reveal + fees).
  4. Click “Build” → sign the commit in Xverse → sign the reveal.
  5. Atomic package broadcast via mempool.space (or sequential fallback).

Edge cases

  • Rune or Alkane UTXOs: excluded from the inscribable UTXO list.
  • Sat target / reinscribe: postage locked to the value of the target UTXO.
  • Body larger than 380 KiB: rejected.
  • Witness V3 / skip broadcast: expert options.

Safeguards

  • Inscription always at offset 0.
  • Exclusion of UTXOs carrying unsupported assets.
  • Upfront cost estimate — no blind signing.
