What this tool does

If your payment address is fragmented into dozens of small UTXOs, every future transaction pays more fees (more inputs = bigger tx). The Consolidator merges them into 1–8 clean UTXOs. Bonus: a Rescue mode brings back common sats stuck on your ordinals address.

UTXO Consolidator — payment UTXOs scanned, safe to merge
UTXO Consolidator — payment-only inputs, rare sats are protected.

When to use it

  • You have ≥ 20 payment UTXOs and pay a lot of fees.
  • Before heavy use (Splitter, Minter) that will consume many UTXOs.
  • To bring back common sats from the ordinals address.
  • To take advantage of a low-fee window.

Prerequisites

  • Xverse wallet + Discord access + Ordiscan key.
  • At least 2 eligible payment UTXOs.

Step-by-step

  1. The tool loads your shared scan (instant if recent).
  2. Select the payment UTXOs to merge (or tick “All”).
  3. Choose the target number of outputs (1–8) via the slider.
  4. Destination address defaults to your payment address.
  5. Optional: Rescue mode → common UTXOs from the ordinals address.
  6. Set the fee rate, review the preview, sign.

Edge cases

  • Protected ordinals UTXOs: a UTXO present on the ordinals address can never be selected as payment.
  • BRC-20 locked: excluded by default.
  • Unknown UTXO: excluded. Marking it verified common only helps when nothing indicates a rare sat — a manual flag can never override positive WecSats evidence.
  • Deep-link from Splitter or Dashboard: the UTXOs to consolidate are pre-selected via querystring.

Rescue mode: fail-closed by design

Rescue only recycles UTXOs that are proven ordinary. When in doubt, the tool refuses rather than risks burning a rare sat.

  • While the WecSats check is still running, or if it comes back unavailable, rate-limited, misconfigured or invalid, the UTXO stays ineligible.
  • Any positive evidence — an exact sat, a range-level category or counter, or an outpoint-level aggregate — excludes the UTXO.
  • “Verified common” cannot override positive WecSats evidence.
  • If an already-selected UTXO becomes ineligible when the check finishes, it is removed from the selection automatically.
  • The very same check runs again immediately before signing; the transaction is aborted with a clear error if anything no longer qualifies.
  • If WecSats is globally switched off, the previous flow applies: Ordiscan plus your explicit manual verification.

Safeguards

  • Allow-list of ordinals outpoints: impossible to include them as payment.
  • Outputs ≥ P2WPKH dust limit (546 sats).
  • Rescue restricted to UTXOs proven recyclable by the shared safety check, re-verified at signing time.
