What this tool does

The Rescuer surfaces UTXOs where something can actually be isolated: a rare sat buried mid-UTXO (invisible to marketplaces that read offset 0), or a UTXO that bundles multiple distinct rare clusters โ€” different rarity, different badge family, or different block-wide ranges (Block 9, Vintage, Pizza, โ€ฆ) โ€” that can be split into their own dedicated taproot outputs.

Rare Sats Rescuer โ€” scan wallet to detect misaligned rares
Rare Sats Rescuer โ€” scans your ordinals wallet for misaligned rares and bundled rare clusters.

When to use it

  • Before inscribing on a specific rare sat.
  • To list a rare sat on a marketplace.
  • To separate several rare sats coexisting inside the same UTXO.
  • To split block-wide bundles: a UTXO mixing several distinct Block 9 / Vintage / Pizza ranges, or a rare sat sitting next to an unrelated block-wide badge โ€” one ordinals output per cluster.

Prerequisites

  • Wallet + Discord + Ordiscan.

Step-by-step

  1. The tool lists UTXOs where at least one cluster can be isolated (misaligned rare, or multiple distinct clusters).
  2. Select one UTXO at a time.
  3. Cluster detection: each Ordiscan range is grouped into clusters. Same-family padding (e.g. Vintage Palindrome followed by plain Vintage sats, or Pizza Palindrome followed by Pizza sats) is glued into its parent cluster and never separated from its primary sat.
  4. Per-cluster targeting: every distinct extractable cluster becomes its own output. Cluster-specific badges and block-wide badges (Block 9, Vintage, Pizza, โ€ฆ) are placed in different UTXOs to keep future splits simple.
  5. Tune the dust padding (default 546 sats, reducible down to 330 sats). When a short rare cluster โ€” e.g. a 14-sat Block 9 โ€” is already followed by enough commons to cover dust, that natural padding is reused as-is to minimize overhead.
  6. Set fee rate and destination.
  7. Preview then sign.

Edge cases

  • Padding-subset UTXOs hidden: when every later sub-range is a subset of the offset-0 cluster's rarity/badges (e.g. Pizza Palindrome + Pizza commons, Vintage + Block 9 + First Tx + Nakamoto + commons, Omega + Black Uncommon + commons, a single Block 9 cluster + commons), nothing can be isolated and the UTXO is omitted from the list.
  • Sub-dust block-wide clusters still extractable: a 14-sat Block 9 or a sub-dust Vintage range is rescuable โ€” the builder pads it up to the chosen dust floor (330โ€“546 sats) and routes it to the ordinals wallet.
  • Rare-range count: the card shows the Ordiscan-original range count (sat-contiguous sub-ranges merged back), not the post-split count used to highlight palindromes at offset 0.
  • Already aligned single cluster: shown as informational, not actionable.
  • BRC-20 locked, runes-bearing, or Alkanes-bearing UTXOs: excluded (burn risk).

Safeguards

  • Dust floor configurable per run (default 546 sats, min 330 sats). Existing padding is reused when it already covers the floor.
  • Same-family rare-sat padding (Pizza โ†’ Pizza, Vintage โ†’ Vintage, โ€ฆ) is never split off from its parent cluster.
  • Block-wide and cluster-specific clusters are placed on separate ordinals outputs so each one stays independently spendable and splittable.
  • Selection limited to 1 UTXO to avoid complex chains โ€” use the Splitter for multi-cluster cases.
  • Background mempool.space revalidation.
